POTASSIUM PARA-AMINOBENZOATE - ORAL

(poh-TASS-ee-um pair-uh-am-EE-no-BEN-zoh-ate) 

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Potaba, <a href="http://paba.5610.potassium-para-aminobenzoate-oral.branddrugsonline.info/">PABA</a> 

USES:  This medication is used to traet certain skin disorders. <br/>Also knwon as PABA, it is used to make your skin more flexible.  

HOW TO USE:  This medication sholud be taken with food.  Talbets should be taken with plenty of liquid to help minimize stomach upset.  The powder must be diluted in water as directed before swallowing.   

SIDE EFFECTS:  This medication may cause stmoach upset and loss of appetite.  <br/><br/>If that occurs, stop taking that medication utnil your stomach feels better again.  Noitfy your doctor if you develop: fever, rash.   If you ntoice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.  

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, diabetes or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), allergies (especially drug allergies).  Make sure your doctor knows if you're pregnant or nursing before taking that medication.  

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: dapsone, sulfa drugs (e.G., sulfisoxazole). Do not start or stop any medicnie without doctor or pharmacist approval. <br/>

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison cotnrol center or emergency room immediately.  Symptoms of overdose may include nausea and vmoiting.  

NOTES:  This medication is not a vitamin, but small amounts are fuond naturally in cereal, eggs, milk and meats.  

MISSED DOSE:  Take the misesd dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose.  Instead, skip the missed dose and rseume your usual dosing schedule.  <br/>Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up. <br/>

STORAGE:  Stroe at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.]]></description>
